Start from the fitness gym model (free sign-up; running a simulation is Pro). After work, the treadmills and the exercise bikes fill up. In this article, in the members’ fitness gym, your AI simulates the night from 17:00. It ran the same tools an AI calls over MCP. Every figure and number below comes from that run.
1. The gym and the night
check_space finds nothing. Your AI writes the night as a scenario (put_process_scenario).
- From 17:00 to 23:00 members come in at random. The busiest hour is 19:00 to 20:00; hour by hour from 17:00, 50, 80, 100, 80, 50 and 25 % as many come as in it.
- After the reception they change (3 to 6 minutes). Half do cardio then strength, 30 % strength only, 20 % cardio only, and all stretch at the end (3 to 8 minutes).
- Cardio is the first machine to come free, of three exercise bikes and the treadmills: 15 minutes up to the time limit (most often 30). With none free they wait by the machines.
- Strength is four sets on free machines (3 to 8 minutes a set). Seven in ten shower (5 to 10 minutes, three showers in each changing room), change and leave.
- Every time is an assumption, to swap for your own.
2. The members and the cardio machines
Your AI sweeps the members in the 19:00 hour (12, 18, 24) and the cardio machines (three bikes and six or eight treadmills) with sweep_process_parameters, 20 runs each.
| In the 19:00 hour | Cardio machines | Cardio sessions | Waited | Mean wait | Waiting (most) | In the gym |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | 9 | 34.7 | 0.7 (1.9 %) | 0.1 min | 0.5 | 62.6 min |
| 12 | 11 | 34.7 | 0.1 (0.1 %) | 0.0 min | 0.1 | 62.6 min |
| 18 | 9 | 51.6 | 12.4 (23.9 %) | 2.2 min | 3.5 | 64.1 min |
| 18 | 11 | 51.6 | 4.9 (9.5 %) | 0.4 min | 1.6 | 62.9 min |
| 24 | 9 | 68.1 | 34.1 (50.0 %) | 9.4 min | 8.1 | 69.8 min |
| 24 | 11 | 68.1 | 18.4 (26.9 %) | 3.1 min | 4.8 | 65.9 min |
- With 24 in the 19:00 hour and nine cardio machines, half the sessions wait, 9.4 minutes on average. Two more treadmills still leave about one in four waiting.
- The strength machines keep the wait to 44.9 seconds on average or less, whatever the night, the showers to 7.5 seconds. It is the cardio machines that fill.
3. A 30-minute limit on cardio
With 24 in the 19:00 hour, your AI changes the cardio machines (9 or 11) and the time limit (30 or 60 minutes).
| Cardio machines | Time limit | Waited | Mean wait | In the gym |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 | 60 min | 34.1 (50.0 %) | 9.4 min | 69.8 min |
| 9 | 30 min | 14.7 (21.6 %) | 1.7 min | 58.3 min |
| 11 | 60 min | 18.4 (26.9 %) | 3.1 min | 65.9 min |
| 11 | 30 min | 6.0 (8.7 %) | 0.4 min | 58.1 min |
- Limiting cardio to 30 minutes brings the mean wait on nine machines to 1.7 minutes: shorter than two more treadmills give (3.1).
- Both together: 0.4 minutes.
4. Using the check
- Draw your gym (from a PDF drawing or photos as well), and tell your AI the members who come, the shares of the workouts and the machine times.
- Not checked: preferences for one kind of machine, limiting entry when busy, the staff, and the Building Standards Act and the fire code.
