Start from the karaoke box model (free sign-up; running a simulation is Pro). When a karaoke box’s rooms are all taken, the groups that come wait in the lobby, and some give up and leave. In this article, in the members’ karaoke box of ten rooms, your AI simulates a Friday night. It ran the same tools an AI calls over MCP. Every figure and number below comes from that run.
1. The box and the Friday night
In one change (edit_space) your AI tags the ten rooms’ sofas, so each group takes a room of its own. check_space finds nothing. Your AI writes the night as a scenario (put_process_scenario).
- From 18:00 to 24:00 groups come in at random: an hour at a time from 18:00, 40, 70, 100, 100, 80 and 50 % of the groups in an hour from 20:00 to 22:00, the busiest.
- After the reception (1 to 2 minutes) a group waits in the lobby for a free room up to 20 minutes, then leaves.
- It sings for one hour (40 %), two, or three (20 % to begin with), pays at the reception (1 minute) and leaves.
- On a night when stays are held to two hours, the three-hour groups leave after two.
- Every count, share and time is an assumption, to swap for your own.
2. The groups that come, and a cap on stays
Your AI sweeps the groups in an hour from 20:00 to 22:00 (4, 6, 8) and whether stays are held to two hours (cap) with sweep_process_parameters, 20 runs each. The wait is over every group (0 for those straight in, until they left for those who left).
| An hour, 20:00 to 22:00 | Three-hour groups | Groups | Left without a room | Wait | Longest line |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | As booked | 18.5 | 0.5 | 0.9 min | 0.9 |
| 4 | Two hours at most | 18.5 | 0.2 | 0.5 min | 0.6 |
| 6 | As booked | 27.3 | 3.2 | 4.2 min | 3.3 |
| 6 | Two hours at most | 27.3 | 2.3 | 3.4 min | 2.9 |
| 8 | As booked | 35.9 | 7.9 | 7.3 min | 5.1 |
| 8 | Two hours at most | 35.9 | 6.0 | 6.3 min | 5.1 |
- With 6 groups an hour from 20:00, 3.2 of 27.3 groups (11.7 %) give up and leave. Holding stays to two hours makes it 2.3.
- With 8 an hour, 6.0 groups (16.7 %) leave even with the cap.
3. The share who book three hours
With 6 groups an hour from 20:00, your AI changes the share who book three hours (0, 20, 40 %).
| Booking three hours | Three-hour groups | Left without a room | Wait | Longest line |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 % | As booked | 2.3 | 3.4 min | 2.9 |
| 0 % | Two hours at most | 2.3 | 3.4 min | 2.9 |
| 20 % | As booked | 3.2 | 4.2 min | 3.3 |
| 20 % | Two hours at most | 2.3 | 3.4 min | 2.9 |
| 40 % | As booked | 4.6 | 5.1 min | 3.7 |
| 40 % | Two hours at most | 2.3 | 3.4 min | 2.9 |
- With 40 % booking three hours, 4.6 groups leave as booked and 2.3 with the cap. The more groups sing long, the more the cap does.
4. Using the check
- Draw your box (from a PDF drawing or photos as well), and tell your AI the groups on a weekend night, the shares of their hours, and how long they will wait.
- Not checked: prices and takings (the hours the cap takes away), the rooms’ sizes and the groups’ numbers, free-time plans, and the reception and kitchen staff.
