Start from the office building model (free sign-up; running a simulation is Pro). At lunch in an office building everyone goes down at the same time, and the lifts fill. In this article, in the members’ nine-storey office building (four lifts, 60 people a floor), your AI simulates lunchtime down and up. It ran the same tools an AI calls over MCP. Every figure and number below comes from that run.

1. The building and the lunchtime

check_space finds nothing. Your AI writes the lunchtime as a scenario (put_process_scenario). The cars’ speed, doors and acceleration are the morning article’s assumptions.

  • Of the 60 people on each of the 2nd to 9th floors, those who go out to eat (50 % to begin with) leave the lift hall in the five minutes after lunch begins and ride down to the entrance hall.
  • They are out 45 to 50 minutes and ride back up to their floor. Nobody takes the stairs.
  • Lunch begins at 12:00 for everyone, or with a staggered lunch (stagger) at 11:45 for the 2nd to 5th floors and 12:15 for the 6th to 9th.
  • Every time and share is an assumption, to swap for your own.

2. The cars running, and a staggered lunch

Your AI sweeps the cars running (2, 3, 4) and the staggered lunch with sweep_process_parameters, 20 runs each. The time down is from leaving the lift hall to the ground floor, the wait for a car included.

  • With everyone at 12:00, the lower the floor the longer it takes to the ground. With two cars, the 2nd floor takes 7.7 minutes, the 9th 1.5.
  • With a staggered lunch, two cars bring the mean down to 1.6 minutes, close to four cars with everyone at 12:00 (1.7).

3. The share who go out

With four cars, your AI changes the share who go out to eat (30, 50, 70 %) and the staggered lunch.

  • With 70 % going out, the 2nd floor takes 3.8 minutes with everyone at 12:00 and 0.8 with a staggered lunch.

4. Using the check

  • Draw your building (from a PDF drawing or photos as well), and tell your AI the people on each floor, the share who go out, the lunch hours, and the lifts and their speed.
  • Not checked: the lifts’ real group control, those who take the stairs, a canteen and visitors, tenants’ different lunch hours, and priority calls.
