Laydyne

For store planners and refit teams

You turn a store’s floor plan into a fixture layout, test whether more shelves still leave the aisles you promised, and send plans and quantities that the fit-out contractor and the owner can check.

What Laydyne does for it

What the published records produced

The fictional shop starts with a 16 × 12 m plan and 34 measured parts. The median distance to the drawing is 5.4 mm, and checks find four problems in the drawing. The handover includes A3 plans, quantities and a checkout simulation. In the separate two-level store, A has 12 shelves and B has 20 on the same 494.64 m². The chosen main aisles stay 1.80 m wide, and the west perimeter aisle stays 1.20 m wide. Every shelf target remains reachable for the tested circular profiles, while four gaps outside the chosen routes remain flagged.

These recorded projects use synthetic inputs. Photos and drawings show what was produced; site accuracy, business effects and photorealistic reconstruction are not established.

What it does not do

  • The two-level store record checks layout and paths. It does not estimate sales, customer queues, evacuation or the performance of an operating store.
  • Results come from a simplified, deterministic model: robots are circles moving at constant speed, and the same input always gives the same result. It does not model collisions or avoidance between robots or people (only capacities and queues), crowd physics, optimised lift group control (lift cars follow simple fixed rules), turning, or cleaning quality. Batteries, when a scenario gives them, drain in a straight line and charge at a constant rate. Dimensions read from photos and drawings are assumptions to check against measurements. It is for exploring options, not a calibrated prediction of a real site.

Price

Building and editing the model with your own AI over MCP, route checks, saving in this browser and JSON import and export are free, with no count limit; a free account is needed only to create an MCP link (3 per account). Running simulations, the built-in AI and cloud saving need Pro ($29 a month or $278.40 a year) or Max ($89 a month or $854.40 a year). Prices are in US dollars before tax; your AI provider bills its own usage separately.

Common questions

Can I start from the store’s floor plan?
Use the store’s dimensioned floor plan as a scaled underlay. Your AI traces walls, fixtures and doors as parts with ids. check_space lists blocked doors, overlaps and passages below your chosen clearance, 0.9 m in the shop example.
Does it tell me when more shelves close an aisle?
Change the fixtures with the AI you already use: add eight shelves, keep the stairs and the floor opening fixed, and check that every shelf is still reachable along the aisles you chose.
Does it predict sales or footfall?
The two-level store record checks layout and paths. It does not estimate sales, customer queues, evacuation or the performance of an operating store.
